In particular, this Information Series discusses the impacts and recent monitoring data from PR China and RO Korea on plastics and microplastics in the Yellow Sea area. The publication also highlights key actions being implemented in the region in line with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14.1 to significantly reduce marine litter by 2025, and provides key recommendations to guide future interventions towards a healthy, resilient and sustainable Yellow Sea region.
