A Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of practitioners, professionals or specialists who share similar activities and who regularly communicate with one another for the purpose of mutually beneficial knowledge sharing. By exchanging tools, methods and techniques found useful in their common area of practice, or by sharing news and new developments in their common specialization, CoP members are able to learn, gain new insights and advance their development.
Online CoPs are available on the SEA Knowledge Bank offering the following features:
- Forum to discuss issues and topics of interest
- Document libraries, which could be used to share minutes of past meetings, good practices, lessons learned, tools, articles by members, etc.
- Gallery of photos
- News and developments relevant to members
