Preah Sihanouk Province is well known as Sihanoukville. It is a coastal Province located 234 kilometers southwest of the capital, Phnom Penh, and is home to the nation's only deepwater port. It is designated as one of the three economic development areas in Cambodia. Preah Sihanouk's bays and estuaries are rich in fishery resources. It is also surrounded by the beaches Ochheuteal, Sokha, Independence and Victory, which provide great potential for ecotourism.
