Based on the assessment, 30 hectares in the Changyi Special Marine Protected Area were rehabilitated with Chinese Tamarix, a native coastal shrub that forms thickets that act as useful barriers on margins of ocean shores and as nesting site for various birds. “The Master plan for the National SMPA of Changyi” was approved by SOA in 2015.
