Astrid L. Sinco, PhD

Astrid is a faculty in the MSc Biology, DPA, MPA, BS Biology, and BS Marine biology programs of Xavier University. She is currently the chairperson of the biology department and the Director of the McKeough Advancement for Environment, Resilience, and Sustainability (MAERS) office. She teaches Ecology, Limnology, Evolution, Biostatistics, Research, and Information Analysis. For decades, she has been actively involved as project leader or faculty researcher in several multidisciplinary funded research projects focusing on social, environmental, and ecological themes. One of which is the characterization of biological assemblages that have significant impacts on aquatic systems and how these affect the socioeconomic conditions of households along the coastal and inland areas.
