Dr. Hoang Hai
Senior Lecturer and Director of The Counselling Center of Employment and Self - Supporting Oversea Studies (CESO), The University of Danang
I am currently a senior lecturer at the University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang. My teaching focuses on Vietnam’s environmental policies, including marine environmental policy.
My research interests include environmental education; sustainable and alternative livelihood management; pollution reduction, waste management; climate change adaptation and mitigation; and livelihood development for communities affected by resettlement due to hydropower dam construction. I am also actively engaged in research related to environmental education and community-based sustainable development.
Previously, I taught Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) to students of the Faculty of Environment at my University. However, due to revisions in the academic curriculum, this course has since been replaced.
I have collaborated with the Department of Seas and Islands of Da Nang City, through which I have participated in several small-scale research and field surveys on biodiversity conservation, marine plastic waste mitigation, and marine environmental education for local communities.
