Some items may require further investigation, so you may wish to review the questions ahead of time and/or complete the assessment with a team.

Is there a mechanism in place for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the health of coastal and marine ecosystems and communities?

Are there incentives for encouraging investment in coastal areas, e.g., special economic zones, tax incentives, government guarantees?
Is the necessary infrastructure in place for supporting commercial activity, e.g., reliable electricity supply, adequate transport access by road, air and/or sea, etc.
Does the broader economy in the country have a healthy investment community and sound financial infrastructure (e.g., dependable transfer of money, accessible banking, loan market)?
