This Project demonstrated a process of assessing contemporary and future hazards and risks on the coast. The hazard and risk assessment was achieved through the production of a series of maps at a regional scale. These maps provided an understanding of the pattern and scale of future coastal change and assisted the responsible authorities and decision-makers in targeting resources effectively. The aim was for these maps to be incorporated into the local policy framework to inform decision-makers and the planning process, thereby contributing to sustainable development. Nine Partner organisations were involved, from the UK, Italy, France and Poland.
